William Glackens – American Realist Painter

William Glackens ((1870 – 1938) was an American Realist Painter and one of the founders of the Ashcan School of American Art which focused on portraying scenes of daily middle class life in New York. The works from this group were robust, urban themes done with energetic painting styles. Glackens later developed his own coloristic style which many compared to Renoir. His subject matters varied constantly through his life with portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. Pierre-Auguste Renoir – French Impressionist

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) was a world renown French Impressionist painter who excelled in transferring beauty and feminine sensuality to the canvas. His portraits and real life scenes are filled with sparkling color and light. Our collection contains 34 patterns of Renoir’s most recognized and important works including Dance at the Mouline de la Galette, Luncheon of the Boating Party, On the Terrace, and The Theater Box. There are many portraits (including a self portrait), and a few landscapes included in this set.

Gustav Klimt – Austrian Symbolist Painter

Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter best known for his paintings of the female body. The son of an engraver, Gustav attended the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts studying architectural painting and soon after started his career painting interior murals and ceilings. He came a founding member and president of the Vienna Secession, a group credited for bringing French Impressionists to the Viennese public. Klimt’s paintings contained radical themes and were considering disturbing. He transformed traditional allegory and symbolism into a new sexual language. During this time he meet Emilie Louise Floge, who appeared in several of his works. After the Vienna secession years, Gustav’s works are categorized as his Golden phase, where he used gold leaf as a predominant design element. Dragon Fire

Dragons are imaginary creatures with reptile-like qualities. The name derives from Greek words meaning giant water snake. Dragons are often depicted with the ability to emit fire from their mouths and also the ability to fly. Dragons can have 2 or four legs, are sometimes given a poison secreting quality and have supernatural and devilish qualities. Our set of dragon patterns are created from colorful illustrations of dragons in various styles and poses including 5 clawed Chinese dragons, flying dragons, devil dragons, a clown dragon, a puffing dragon, a fire breathing dragon, a dragon surrounding a castle, and a knight attacking a dragon.

Alfred Stevens – Belgian Painter

Alfred Stevens (1823 – 1906) was a Belgian painter was the son of an art collector. He developed a conventional naturalistic style influenced by 17th century Dutch genre painting. He also studied works by painters such as Gerard ter Borch and Gabriel Metsu. He influenced social attitudes towards the poor with a work titled What is called Vagrancy. Many of his works use elegant modern woman as subjects. He also painted several works using a fashionable taste called japonisme which Stevens was an early enthusiast. Leonardo da Vinci – The Renaissance Man

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was an amazingly talented and well rounded individual who lived in Italy during the Renaissance period (1500-1600). His talents included architecture, engineering, mathematics, music, and of course painting. Considered one of the greatest painters of all time, we are excited to bring many of his famous works into the creative world of SegPlay(No doubt Leonardo himself would have enjoyed this form of painting!).
